Practical information on hyaluronic acid
Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a substance naturally present in the dermis, joints, cartilage and the eye. It plays an essential role in hydrating and plumping the skin. Around five grams of hyaluronic acid are produced every day by the body to renew skin tissue.
In the field of aesthetics, hyaluronic acid is obtained through biotechnological processes. Micro-organisms are cultivated in fermenters and naturally produce the hyaluronic acid molecule. The product thus synthesized is identical to that produced by the body, eliminating any risk of allergy.
Its advantages include
Biocompatibility: hyaluronic acid is a constituent of the human body.
Its non-animal origin: it is obtained by biosynthesis.
No prior testing is required.
It is biodegradable.
Unlike botulinum toxin, it does not act on the muscles, and its action is limited to the volume it provides and to a moisturizing action.
Filling in wrinkles
Hyaluronic acid is perfectly suited to filling wrinkles and plumping up your skin.
- Facial wrinkles: commonly used to fill facial lines and wrinkles, including forehead wrinkles, frown lines (between the eyebrows), crow's feet (wrinkles around the eyes), nasolabial folds (wrinkles running from the nose to the mouth) and wrinkles around the lips.
- Neck and décolleté wrinkles: Hyaluronic acid can also be used to treat neck and décolleté wrinkles, helping to smooth and firm the skin in these areas.
- Hand wrinkles: It is sometimes used to reduce wrinkles and volume loss on the back of the hands, giving a more youthful, uniform appearance.
- Lip wrinkles: Hyaluronic acid can be injected to improve lip volume, shape and hydration, reducing vertical and horizontal wrinkles around the mouth.
- Deep wrinkles and acne scars: In some cases, hyaluronic acid can be used to fill in deep wrinkles and acne scars, giving the skin a smoother, more even appearance.

Restore volume
Hyaluronic acid is used to restore volume in a number of cases, including :
- Loss of facial volume: As we age, the face can lose volume, resulting in a hollow or sagging appearance. Hyaluronic acid is used to restore lost volume, giving the face a more youthful, plumper appearance.
- Thin or asymmetrical lips: Hyaluronic acid can be injected into the lips to increase volume and improve shape. The result is fuller, better-defined lips.
- Hand rejuvenation: Hands can lose volume over time, accentuating the appearance of veins and bones. Injecting hyaluronic acid into the hands can restore lost volume, making hands look younger and fuller.
- Facial contour correction: Hyaluronic acid can be used to enhance facial contours, such as the cheekbones and jawline. By adding volume to these areas, a more harmonious, sculpted appearance can be achieved.
Before/after

Correct the shape of the nose
Using hyaluronic acid, our doctors & plastic surgeons can correct minor imperfections in your nose. This is known as medical rhinoplasty.
The aim of medical rhinoplasty is to improve the appearance of the nose by correcting aesthetic problems such as bumps, asymmetries, slight deviations, drooping tips or minor defects. Hyaluronic acid injections are used to reshape and redefine the contours of the nose, adding volume to hollow areas or smoothing irregularities.

Restore radiance to your face
Injecting hyaluronic acid into the face also offers the possibility of eliminating signs of fatigue and giving your face a youthful glow. Indeed, from the age of thirty onwards, the skin takes longer to regenerate, so a suitable treatment is needed to restore and preserve its vitality.
The following results can be obtained:
- Tightens dilated pores.
- Refreshing dullness.
- Reduces dark circles under the eyes.
- Moisturizing dry skin.
- Prevention of skin aging.
