Scalp magnifiers

The lump appears as a hard, mobile ball located under the scalp, most often painless, measuring about 1 centimeter in diameter. It can sometimes grow and become bothersome, reaching several centimeters. When the lump is invisible under the hair, completely benign, and painless, many patients cope well and don’t feel the need to address it. For others, especially if the lump grows and becomes visible, it needs to be removed.

Surgical excision is then necessary, which means removing the lump with a scalpel, followed by stitches. Once removed, the lump usually does not recur, but other lumps may appear elsewhere on the scalp.
